                        It’s that time of year again. Kiwanis Club is having their annual fundraiser Peanut Days. The Kiwanis is asking Salem area businesses to help support their project which provides shoes for school children. In 2016 the Kiwanis was able to provide over 200 needy children with socks and shoes. If your business would like to donate contact Sue Davis at 618-367-1005. The cost of peanuts is $ 38.00 and can also be mailed to: Kiwanis Peanut Day % Sue Davis 818 N. Broadway, Salem.100% of proceeds from the Peanut Days and other fundraisers goes to the shoe project as well as the following:A service award for a graduating SCHS senior, Free refreshments for the Special Olympics participants & summer reading programs, Books for Head Start Children, support of Spastic Paralysis research for Illinois children.
